I help students navigate the incredible range of academic pathways, programs, resources, and opportunities available to them at Duke. I enjoy being one of many sources of advice and support for students as they learn to make the most of their educational experiences, discover and hone their interests and talents, and decide how they want to shape their lives.
Before coming to Duke, I advised English and Comparative Literature majors at the University of Washington in Seattle. I began my advising career after completing a BA and MA in English at the UW, partly because I was grateful to the advisors who supported me as a student. My experience cultivated a desire to work with students to help them navigate their own myriad educational options.
