OUR MISSION: We partner with undergraduate students and alumni from Pratt and Trinity who are interested in healthcare careers.  We empower each advisee to be both their best authentic self as a person and future healthcare professional.

We are committed to providing holistic advising to all Duke undergraduates interested in preparing for a career in the health professions. Our personalized advising begins in your first year and can continue for up to five years post-graduation with everything from course planning, experiential preparation, application process and acceptance management. In addition to advising, we offer information sessions, weekly newsletter with announcements and opportunities, and mock interviews.

How HPA Advising Works

In order to have an HPA advisor assigned for 1:1 meetings, you must complete the steps below designated by graduation year. This helps us focus on your individual journey rather than general info. Review workshop materials and come to meetings with questions that help us dive into what matters to you most. If you have questions, call us at 919-684-6221 or email prehealth@duke.edu. Appointments with multiple advisors or with someone who is not your assigned advisor will be deleted without notice. For quick questions, use drop-in advising sessions.

Note: We are not able to meet with or advise prospective students.  Duke Kunshan students should meet with DKU Office of Undergraduate Advising.
