The Academic Advising Center (AAC) oversees academic advising for Duke students until they declare their major during sophomore year. Through the AAC, students have a network of advising resources and services available to help them explore the many curricular and co-curricular opportunities at Duke:

Drop-in Advising
Come in with a quick question or to get additional input on your academic plans. We're available for drop-in advising during the academic year (except over winter and spring breaks):
- Tuesdays 12 - 2
- Wednesdays 10 - 12
Email Advising
Send us your quick question at advising@duke.edu and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Meet with one of the AAC Advising Directors
You can schedule an in person or virtual appointment to meet with Mathavi Strasburger, Kelly Cottrell, or Jen Hoff if you have questions that require more time than a quick drop in meeting. We're available to be a sounding board and provide additional insight into your academic plans and goals, that can supplement conversations with your college advisor and other members of your advising network. You can schedule an appointment here.
Specialized Advising, including Natural and Quantitative Sciences, Arts & Humanities, and Social Sciences
Meet with a Director of Academic Engagement (DAE) who can help you make the most of your time at Duke. We encourage all students to meet with one or more of the DAEs early in their Duke career.
