

The Academic Advising Center (AAC) oversees academic advising for Duke students until they declare their major during sophomore year. Through the AAC, students have a network of advising resources and services available to help them explore the many curricular and co-curricular opportunities at Duke:

Drop-in Advising
Come in with a quick question or to get additional input on your academic plans. We're available for drop-in advising from the first to the last day of classes during the academic year (except over winter and spring breaks):
- Tuesdays 2:00- 4:00
- Wednesdays 10:00 - 12:00
- Thursdays 1:00-3:00

Meet with A MEMBER of the AAC Advising TEAM
You can schedule an in-person or virtual appointment to meet with AAC staff if you have questions that require more time than a quick drop-in meeting. We're available to be a sounding board and provide additional insight into your academic plans and goals, that can supplement conversations with your college advisor and other members of your advising network. Specialized Advising
Includes Natural and Quantitative Sciences, Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, and Global, Civic Cross-Disciplinary Engagement
Meet with a Director of Academic Engagement/Specialized Advisor who can help you make the most of your time at Duke. We encourage all students to meet with one or more of the DAEs/ Specialized Advisor early in their Duke career.
