As Academic Dean, I support students who live or did live in Brown residence hall and first-year and seniors in Gilbert Addoms. I am the faculty director of the Washington Duke Scholars program, and am the adminstrative liaison for biology, linguistics, neuroscience and the Study of Ethics certificate. I also teach in Duke's Undergraduate Neuroscience program.
I am a native of Brooklyn, NY and am first in my family to attend college. I earned an A.A.S. in Liberal Arts and a B.S. Biology degree at the City University of New York. After an enriching experience as a research assistant in a molecular neurobiology lab at Sloan-Kettering Institute, I then earned a Ph.D. in Psychology, at the University of California, San Diego, where I studied brain and behavioral responses to face perception.
